Billy's keen interest in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) drives his pursuit of opportunities that challenge his creative faculties, be it technically or logically. Billy brings valuable experience to the table, having served as an intern at Swift Lab Limited since September 2023. In this role, he has been instrumental in GIS analysis and visualization of drone data, primarily focusing on crop health monitoring using vegetation indices from both RGB and IR images. Additionally, Billy has been involved in crafting business-case proposals for mapping solutions offered to clients.
Currently, Billy serves as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer at Nature Lover Consultants Limited, a position he has held since July 2023. In this capacity, he conducts stock-takes of the organization's projects, including established nursery beds and the number of trees planted. He also produces maps detailing forest cover loss, aiding the organization in refining its conservation efforts.
Billy's academic background includes coursework in Engineering Survey, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Spatial Data Analysis using Python. Furthermore, he has pursued certifications in GIS for Climate Action, Spatial Data Science, Climate Justice, and Financial Modeling and Valuation Analysis.
