About Us

Nature Lover Consultant (NLC) is an entity with the vision of nurturing organizations, nature and generations. We at NLC endeavor to foster resilient organizations, environments and nature conscious  generations through strategic partnerships, implementation of sustainable projects; institutional strengthening; research and innovation; and climate change actions.

At the helm of NLC is Dr. Mary Manana. She holds a PHD in Applied Sciences, a Master of Philosophy in Environmental Studies (Economics), she also has an MA in Organizational Leadership and Management, and a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Economic/Business. Dr. Manana is a highly experienced strategic and transformative leader with over 25 years of progressive working experience, having worked in various senior management positions revolving around institutional and systems development, stakeholder management and relationship with key stakeholders.

As part of climate change action, NLC is championing a Tree Growing Campaign that is aimed at fostering a lifelong learning process intended to equip our children with awareness of planting, nurturing, protecting trees and the environment through experiential learning. This is being achieved through collaborations with the Ministry of Education, county governments, relevant line ministries, government parastatals and agencies, private sector and individuals. This project belongs to school children, with the end result being the transformation of our children’s mindset, into environmentally conscious people who will grow up knowing that trees need to be nurtured, loved and protected. The scope of this tree restoration program is currently in West Pokot, Nyeri, Nairobi, Garissa and Kajiado counties.

Through its Institutional Strengthening arm, NLC’s team has also been instrumental in setting up the first Cooperative Society in Somalia -Bulsho Cooperative. NLC through the oversight of Dr. Manana has rich experience in research, case studies, experiential learning with particular keenness on generating and translating the latest science, evidence, and innovation to improve institutional and ecological systems.
