Nature Lover Consultant (NLC) Green Initiative at Kasarani Technical and Vocational College.

In our recent endeavor to combat climate change and promote environmental conservation, Nature Lover Consultant (NLC), led by our Managing Director, Dr. Mary Manana, partnered with Kasarani Technical and Vocational College, a Government Sponsored Institution in Nairobi County. Located a mere 1.5 kilometers from Kamulu shopping center, off Kangundo road, this institution joined hands with us in planting 50 trees of various types, including jackfruit, white sapote, meruoak, and loquats. It was a delightful and impactful experience.

The Green Mission

NLC has a long-standing commitment to nurturing and preserving the environment. Our expertise lies in planting indigenous and fruit trees, recognizing their crucial role in sustaining the ecosystem. This time, our focus was on Kasarani Technical and Vocational College, and our goal was clear: to make a significant contribution to their campus's greenery.

Tree Varieties Planted

Our choice of tree varieties was carefully curated to ensure they not only enhance the campus's aesthetics but also provide valuable benefits to the environment and the local community. Here are some of the trees we planted:

1. Jackfruit: These trees produce large, delicious fruits that are not only a treat for humans but also attract various wildlife.

2. White Sapote: Known for their creamy-white, sweet fruits, white sapote trees add both beauty and nutrition to the landscape.

3. Meruoak: Indigenous to Kenya, meruoak trees are resilient and play a vital role in reforestation efforts.

4. Loquats: With vibrant orange fruits rich in vitamins and antioxidants, loquats are a valuable addition to any green space.
